Peak District 2023

A long weekend in Hayfield in the Peak District was a birthday present from Kathryn. After visiting several years ago, we wanted to come back and climb Kinder Scout.  We stayed at the George Hotel—probably not the best B&B we have stayed in, with a blocked toilet and weird billing system, but it was good enough for our trip. We did climb Kinder Scout—via Jacob’s ladder from Edale and back down by a very steep ravine with no apparent path! It rained but we still had a great time.
