The third island on our exploration of the Canaries. We stayed in Caleta de Fuste in the Castillo Playa Bungalows. The apartment complex turned out to be a little gem. Once again we were self catering and only ate out every other night. We rented a car and travelled North via the impressive National Park with its dunes and lovely beaches. Just beyond Corralejo we found the interesting “Popcorn Beach” (see photo of why it is called that). We climbed the Calderon Honda which and had a coffee at scenic Los Mollinos. In the Centre of the Island, we drove along the very scenic and well known FV30, stopping at various Mirrodors as well as visiting Ajuy and La Pared. In the South, the main attraction was the famous Playa de la Barca with its 6km of golden sandy beaches. Absolutely loved our time there, despite having to do an Ofsted interview and Kathryn hurting her knee whilst our running. But we decided it wouldn't’ be somewhere we would be coming back to soon—not enough to do really. Unless you are into chipmunk spotting…...
