Turkey 2019

This was our second trip to Turkey. This time we stayed in Kusadasi as we wanted to visit Ephesus. The Hotel Derici was perfect as it was on the seafront. The pool was on the roof which was pretty spectacular. It was very hot, but fortunately there was a cool sea breeze which made it more pleasant.

We spent time at the pool on the roof. Jas and Tyler made some friends, playing table tennis and pool as well as messing around in the water. We also caught the dolmus bus to Long beach and Kustur beach as well as Kusadasi beach. Evenings were spent strolling down the busy streets choosing restaurants and going shopping. Lunchtimes were spent at “Donna’s”, eating the best kebabs in Turkey.

The highlight was Ephesus though. We managed to get there very early and had a long and hot but very enjoyable time there. A more lively highlight was the trip to Aqua fantasy water park. Non stop slides all day!
