Turkey 2018

This was our first visit to Turkey. A country we would grow to love. We stayed in Oludeniz, a lovely small town at the foot of some big mountains with the Blue Lagoon just around the corner. We stayed at the Hotel Karbel Sun which was at the top of the high street.

The Highlight of the trip had to be jumping off Babadag mountain (6000ft) and paragliding down to the bottom. Some might say that the journey up the mountain in the minibus was the most scary part of it all! Kathryn plucked up her courage and also threw herself off the mountain. A great experience for all.

A lot of time was spent at the pool or on the pebbly beach watching other tourists getting “wiped out”. We also went to the Blue Lagoon one day and spent the day there—it was green when you got up close.

We won’t forget the waiter Idris at our favourite lunch spot, nor the many wonderful Turkish meals in different restaurants around the town.
