Corfu 2015

This was our first holiday abroad with the children. We had enjoyed holidays in the UK together but not out of the country. We flew to Corfu where we stayed in the Eriva apartments in Acharavi on the North of the island. It was the first time the children had been in a plane, which was an adventure for them. It was the first time they had been swimming in the sea. They weren’t used to the salt water and cried the first time they went it. There was lots of fun to be had at the pool with the inflatables and we walked over to Roda beach where it was a sandy beach rather than a pebble one. That was a hot walk where we had to stop for ice creams on the way. Evening meals in Acharavi often involved sitting at the seafront enjoying the sunset. Mornings involved a very hot walk to the supermarket to pick up croissants for breakfast and cheese and ham for lunch. We will never forget our favourite restaurant where the owner gave us free ice cream specials on our final night.
