In May we found ourselves flying over to Germany to visit friends and sample a bit of life there. Kathryn tried and experienced just about everything Germany has to offer in that part of the country! What a great time we had.
The photos show (from the top) Walter hard at work entertaining his guests, an evening drinking Apfelwein and eating some of Frankfurt's specialities (Cheese with music??!!), Kathryn sampling her first Licher Pils, a visit to Hessen Park to see traditional Germany, Damien having packed his newly acquired BBQ (thank you Walter) and with Elisabeth and Walter, trying to prove who knew where Giessen is!! I am sure I was right!
On the bottom row, Kathryn with Benjamin at the Mathematikum museum in Giessen, the view from the Halbmond in Gelnhausen, Damien enjoying a cold one on the castle wall and Kathryn enjoying the sights of Büdingen. This trip was made all the more special staying with our good friends from Hessen!
