Gambia 2008

Christmas 2008 saw us returning to the Gambia. After missing out on the October Holidays due to a trip to China, it really was one of those "flop on the beach chair" holidays.

As always the Gambians were lovely people, making the stay all the better. The photos depict a typical day there - lying on the sunbeds in the relatively deserted beaches, buying our lunch of fruit pieces from Awa, taking a long walk along the beach each day and generally having a very relaxing time in the 34 degree heat! Quite a contrast to when we returned to East Midlands airport to find everything, including door locks and my jacket, frozen solid.
