What do you do for someone who has just retired and has spent their whole life bringing you up? We tried to take Mum to Egypt for a cruise on the Nile, but that ended up getting cancelled due to troubles, so we settled on spending New Year in the Dominican Republic.
It was a chill out holiday in seriously gorgeous sunshine! The photos from the top show Mum and Kathryn on the walk from the hotel to the beach, Damien soaking up his sun allergy and some photos of us all being silly on New Year's Eve - that really was an impressive ice statue.
Mum treated us to a Catamaran ride round the island to do some snorkelling - mum might want to forget her escapades with the inflatable tube that kept trying to drown her!!!! A nice sunset to finish off a lovely relaxing holiday - no postcards ever arrived from there, but these piccies show that we did in fact go!
