Kenya 1993

In Nairobi Rob took me on a tour of Nairobi National Park when I stayed with him for a few days. Also drove to the Rift Valley which is just around the corner. There is a photo of some of the children who came up to the car asking for money. Later on I went on a longer safari with Pips in Kenya. Went to the Nairobi National Park again first and then on to Meru national Park and then Samburu National Park. I’ll never forget changing the wheel without a turning handle for the jack and staying overnight at the wardens lodge whilst the puncture was fixed. An outdoor shower with the sound of lions roaring in the distance was a bit unnerving but an amazing experience. The photo at the bottom is Pippa and I celebrating changing the wheel with a beer!
