Italy 1990

Travelled with a friend, Thomas, down to Italy to visit his family. Thomas lived nearby when I was in Gelnhausen. We hitch hiked from Gelnhausen to Munich but were struggling to get lifts over the border, so we got the overnight train to Italy. Not much sleep as we were woken up at the border for passport checks. Living with a traditional Italian family with their own bottled wine and endless mealtimes was an amazing experience. His family lived near Rimini and we spent a few days camping on the beach as well as spending time with his family.
