Germany 1996-1997

I was in Germany several times between 1996 and 1997.

In 1996 I went to Germany to visit friends during the Easter holidays of my PGCE course. I went again in 1996. This was the first of many school trips to Germany at Castle Hall, Royds Hall, and Royds. It was the trip for Y10 German students, staying in Bad Salzig. There was a river cruise form Boppard followed by the chair lift. We went on a trip to Cologne to visit the chocolate factory and climb the cathedral steps.

I also took advantage of an EU funded project in 1997 to get teachers involved in business. I was able to do a week at Veritas Gummi in Gelnhausen. The same year I went to Krefeld on the school exchange.

There is a photo of the chair lift in Boppard, pupils mixing in the sports hall, the plane that took us out and a river boat on Cologne. There is also a photo of the factory I was at and the hotel I stayed in.
